Natural Health Solutions From Home

A lot of us depend on prescription and over-the-counter medicines so much these days that sometimes, we ignore the fact that there are far less-expensive and safer natural health solutions we can find in our homes. For instance, a lot of herbal plants can be a natural sleeping aid. California poppy, chamomile, catnip, hops, jamaica dogwood, jasmine, lavender, passion flower, peppermint, sage, Siberian ginseng, St. John’s wort and valerian are some examples of herbal remedies that are homeopathic sleep aid alternatives that haven’t gone through extensive clinical testing. While valerian has been clinically proven to correct sleep disorders, most of the other herbs for treating sleeplessness are traditional home remedies that haven’t been scientifically proven to improve sleep problems but most of them have minimal, if any, side effects making them a safe natural sleep aid remedy. Although most herbs for sleeping are harmless, some herbs should be taken with caution particularly hops, St. John’s wort and valerian.

Colon cleansing is a beneficial option when you want to eliminate toxins from your body and choosing a natural colon cleanser with all-natural ingredients like herbs is probably the safest way to go. A common natural recipe for colon cleansing includes sultana raisins, herb senna and rose hip extract. Some local herbs such as aloe can eliminate the colon’s toxins by stimulating bowel movements. Herbs used for colon cleansing usually contain a bitter plant which promotes bile flow to the liver. More importantly, it is also vital to drink plenty of water every day to keep your colon healthy.

Most women undergoing perimenopause usually employ hormone replacement therapy as a direct approach to alleviate harsh symptoms of menopause. However, alternative remedies which tend to strengthen and support the endocrine system work in conjunction with a healthy diet and adequate exercise and although they are slower in effect, natural remedies are still safe and effective for relieving menopausal symptoms such as a hot flash and night sweats. Herbs commonly used to alleviate hot flashes include ginseng, black cohosh, vitex agnus castii, blue cohosh, dong quai, and wild yam root. Chickweed tincture once or twice a day reduces the severity and frequency of hot flashes. Topical natural progesterone cream, which is popular among menopausal women today, is a transdermal cream that effectively relieves hot flashes. It is non-toxic and without the side effects of synthetic progestins since it is absorbed through the skin and carried directly to where it is needed.

Dog training does not have to be an excruciating painful task, it can actually be quite enjoyable, if it is done appropriately. It is always very important for a dog owner to understand that dog training is not going to happen overnight, it will in fact take a little bit of time, which means patience is an absolute must.

How to get rid of spots quickly

You know how it is, often I conveniently forget about my acne during the course of my day. It just keeps me sane, helps me get on with life. It’s most certainly a case of the ends justifying the means.

Then all of a sudden something will happen which brings me tumbling back to reality. Something as innocuous as a throwaway comment from someone, usually with no motive at all apart from the fact that I have bad spots. I won’t repeat the offences here but let’s just say they’re not nice. I’m only human and y’know sometimes my guard is down and I let these comments get inside my head.

I’ll retreat into my shell for a couple of days. Bury my head in the sand. I’ll be blaming myself for being deformed. “Snap out of it” my friends will say. It’s ok for them, they have good skin. They don’t realise how debilitating it is for me to absorb those thoughtless comments and jibes.

That’s only one of the aspects of this awful affliction which drove me round the bend so much that I had to find a cure. I was literally close to going out of my mind! So … I just bought this thing on how to get rid of spots quickly and y’know what? …. It looks like it’s WORKING!

How the idea of a site can change over time

A long, long time ago I started a site in german language that was all about bookmarks. It is called lesezeichenladen.de which means bookmark shop - not bad for a domain name…

I set up a little bit of history information about bookmarks and used amazon to show some pretty bookmarks and so on. Just to make it complete, I created a bookmark with flowers and took pictures of the work in progress and thus created a step by step instruction on creating a beautiful bookmark (Blumen-Lesezeichen basteln).

After a while, my site had been up and running for about a year, I noticed that the structure of the visits to my site had changed - more and more people did not come to my site because they were looking for bookmark related content but because they wanted to do handicrafts with flowers or blossoms!

I talked about that with my girlfriend and she said, no problem, I’ll create something for you. And what she came up with was really not bad: Very nice intructions for paper blossoms (Bl?ten basteln/Blumen basteln)

And I can tell you, it did not take long and almost everyday someone was searching for the flower crafting instructions. Inspired by the success she made another step-by step instruction, this time for a crafted bookmark (Der B?cherwurm - eine Bastelanleitung This is for a really nice bookmark so it is more to the original topic of my site…but altogether I must say my site has shifted heavily from a bookmarks site to a handicrafts site!

Paris Vacation

Paris is one of the premier capitals of the world especially the romantic amongst us,it has the ability to please everyone and is often referred to as The City of Lights. Paris short stays of a few days, often over a long weekend are the normal way to see it,with a great deal to see and do that really a week is needed.

A city famous for its fabulous architecture, good food, wine, street markets and galleries, including famous sights like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe to name just two internationally famous landmarks. Fortunately for tourists, Paris has a first rate transportation system, there is an excellent underground system called the Metro which runs regular trains into the city center and is very easy to understand.

At almost 1,000 feet high, the Eiffel Tower is an impressive sight,it can be seen from any point within the city and the superb views just can’t be matched by those looking at it from the ground. In the evening the illumination means it can be seen for many miles, taking a tour at the same time will teach you much more about this remarkable structure.

On your Paris trip ensure you add the famous Champs Elysees to your list of places to visit, with shops, cafes, and restaurants littered along the wide pavements, it is a ‘must see’ for every visitor. This avenue may be select but it attracts large numbers of visitors daily,it is also where most of the five star hotels are situated but thankfully hotels tend to be cheaper once you move away from the city center.

The world famous Louvre museum is in this city, with almost a third of a million exhibits, you will not be able to see everything in one trip. There are so many exhibits here they cannot all be viewed during a short stay in Paris, the Venus de Milo is displayed here and of course the Mona Lisa. Over the years, Paris has been home to many of the world’s famous artists, many of whom left large collections of their paintings here like Monet and Picasso.

The Arc de Triomphe another famous landmark was built by Napoleon in 1806,the names of his generals engraved upon it to honor them and his troops. Many people do not know that an observatory was included in the design which affords great views of the surrounding area,it is located in Place Charles de Gaulle where twelve of the city’s main avenues start, including Avenue de Champs Elysees.

Certainly it is not fair to believe that these are the only places in the city worth visiting, but these should certainly not to be missed because many offer regular guided tours, some at little or no charge at all. A Paris short stay vacation will probably be best suited as just a taster of the city, anything that’s missed will have to take a rain check.
